Another day comes with another chance to make change. Any issue regarding the planet’s wellbeing (political, social, environmental) has an identity in this world, to be recognized and dealt with to secure a safe, healthy environment for this generation and the ones ahead. As Will You Hear Me Now? projects the power of young voices to speak in the name of advocacy for restricting gun violence and supporting the initiatives of mental health, there are other unprecedented subjects that don’t see the limelight of influence.
One in particular–climate change. Like gun violence reduction, it is a discussion that is muted in the political mainstream. However, rising leaders and environmental advocates refuse to accept being silent. Organizations such as the Environmental Defense Fund and many more believe that Earth is the only planet suitable for human and animal life. We can still save it.
Any issue this big concerns us

There is still time to take the reins of environmental justice.
The wildfires in Canada have caused poor air quality, affecting the entire east coast of the United States. The smoke of blazing flames is contaminating the very oxygen we need to breathe. It is a scary vision for our future. It’s become all too apparent that the increasing natural disasters and abnormalities are caused by human activity. Many of my peers feel it does not have to be that way. Earth Day is every day.
We hope to encourage everyone to take environmental ethics to a level of recognition when we are cautious about water and electricity consumption, carbon dioxide emissions, our carbon footprints, and keeping our community areas clean. Using our voices, we can shout until someone listens. With our bodies, we act one day at a time. All voices alike. Together, we can heal the world.
